Annual Review

At the end of the first year as the ombudsman for CoCCA I am pleased to see the low number of complaints and issues that I have been required to deal with.

My office received one request for mediation that was successfully dealt with in a timely manner despite the difficulties arising from time zone differences and the usual delays associated with responding to emails in a timely manner. The parties to the complaint came to a mutual agreement that has been respected and implemented.

There were several other issues I brought to the attention of CoCCA administrative services regarding server issues, renewal delays, and various other technical problems that were dealt with in a timely manner once my office referred the matter to the appropriate staff.

It has been an interesting and satisfying year and a further indication of the importance and usefulness of an ombudsman office in dealing with complaints and issues in an informal and fair manner.
